All Senior Portraits must be taken by October 15, 2011 if you want to be included in the yearbook.
You should receive an appointment time in the mail to be photographed byLifetouch Studios at Sherwood this fall. You may also go to their studios in Baltimore by appointment only. Males must sit for tuxedo poses and females must sit for drape poses. By contract, the Sherwood yearbook can not accept official portrait photos from any other sources. There is a basic Lifetouch sitting fee charge of $25 (six tuxedo or drape shots). There are additional packages for poses with different outfits which cost extra. If you do not receive an appointment time in the mail, if you need to change your time, or you need any additional information, call them at 1-800-445-1189 or visit their website at http://prestigeportraits.com.
The only dates left at Sherwood this year are October 5-6, you will be mailed a time. The time is adjustable if you contact them right away however if both of these dates are inconvenient and you still have not been photographed or you want to be re-shot, you must make an appointment to go to Lifetouch’s studios.
A few weeks after being photographed, you will receive proofs in the mail. If you wish to choose your yearbook pose, you will have to do so by November 1 or it will be chosen for you by the yearbook staff.
If you photograph after October 6, you will probably be unable to choose the pose because of the time it takes to get proofs back. Any other issues dealing with senior photos, call Lifetouch at 1-800-445-1189.
Remember When? Traditionally in the Sherwood yearbook, there is a portion of the senior class section devoted to memories that are unique to each graduating class such as things that have changed over the last four years or funny things that happened at class events, etc. If you want to contribute to this list, you must email your memories to sherwoodyearbook@yahoo.com by November 1 with the term “Remember When” in the subject title area.
Order your yearbook early to save money! Online sales from the publisher will be available starting in October at www.walsworthyearbooks.com Buy early, the price goes up as the year goes on and we may run out. Only a certain amount are ordered each year based on pre-sales. Before placing your order, find the order number provided to you by Walsworth Publishers in the mailing you will receive in early fall (the envelope is blue and white) to avoid duplicate orders.
The Senior Class Picture will be taken as a part of the Senior Breakfast which is preliminarily set for Wednesday, October 12. Order forms will be distributed in a class or homeroom prior to that date. The picture must be paid for and ordered at the time the picture is taken, money will not be collected later.
Friends and Family Senior Salutation Ads** (Senior Salutations 2012) and Business Ads are currently being taken. We will fill up space on a first paid basis as we have limited space available. All ads are in color and are due back no later than Friday, October 28. We may fill pages early so do not wait until the last day. Ad space may be purchased after the 28th if there is room however additional fees will be charged. Groups of friends or other organized groups such as sports teams and clubs are encouraged to combine funds and purchase larger ads. Photos will be delivered back once the yearbook has been distributed. If you wish the ad to remain a secret, you must mark so on the form and we will try our best to not let your surprise be known. There will be opportunities to preview and approve your ad, please indicate the best time for you to do that on the form. We can not be held responsible for any mistakes if you do not preview your ad prior to mid-November when we send the pages to the publisher.
** Please make a duplicate of your precious baby photos for our use as we cannot guarantee return of your pictures. We will try our best but sometimes things can get lost in production.
