Don’t have the right thing to wear?

Stop by the Spiritwear Booth to purchase Sherwood apparel or pickup your orders. (approx. 6 pm – 8pm) Let’s show the competition how we support our team!

Can’t stay for the game? Let them know you are coming just for spiritwear. Weather permitting you can find the booth near the front gate by the fence line.

Warrior Club Meeting

Secretary Report: Stephanie Sebeck: Meeting called to order, minutes from May 2014 meeting approved. Next meeting is Monday, 9/8/14 @ 7:00 in media center. 20 people in attendance representing: Softball, Girls Volleyball, V & JV boys & girls lax, Poms, baseball, Cheer. A unanimous vote resulted in four new Warrior Club officers with an effective term start-date of July 1, 2014:

Tony Ryan, President:

Tony Ryan opened the meeting by welcoming the newly elected officers.

Treasurer’s Report: Betsy Popeck:

Betsy distributed the balance sheet and P&L report. Concessions have been down a bit due to weather. Spiritwear is selling well. The 4A North track meet brought in $2,700.00

Betsy announced the winner of the I Drive Smart raffle is Eileen Buzy.

Communication Report: Kara Rogers:
Kara announced that three Warrior Club scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each were awarded to: Emily Kenul, Mike Crooks and Chrisanthi Siarkis. The WC scholarship application process was greatly improved by implementing an on-line application process which yielded dozens of candidates. These student athletes were presented with their scholarships at the May 2014 Spring Sports awards ceremony.

Concessions Report: Sheryl Chiogioji:
Sheryl presented two long time outstanding volunteers with gifts of recognition: Gary Peters and Karen Stricklin. A special thanks was also made to Harvey Metro for preparing and filing the WC tax returns pro-bono.

Team Ambassador Updates:
Girls Softball: Mike Stockinger requested the Warrior Club’s assistance in obtaining upgrades to the softball field and equipment including a scoreboard, water access, fencing to protect the field from vandalism, and other improvements. Tony suggested that a list of requests be drawn up and prioritized and pricing estimates obtained. This information should be given to Kathy Green who works in collaboration with her budget and the Warrior Club to obtain funding. A discussion regarding team fundraising ideas to help supplement the cost of expenses took place. Team fundraising related questions, ideas, etc. need to go through the AD, Kathy Green prior to being put in

Kathy provided an update on spring teams and congratulated Gary Peters for being selected as the All Met Coach of the Year.
