Graduation 2009
This is a message from Mr. Gregory, principal of Sherwood High School.
We recently received news that Sherwood HSÂ will be allowed to use the Comcast Center for graduation next year. However, if we choose to do so, we will need to pay a cost of approximately $13,000. We already have the funds to cover this cost; however, we will need to do some class fundraising for some senior activities. These will be determined at a later date. If we do not go to the Comcast Center, we will have our graduation at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C.
At this time, I am planning to have graduation at the Comcast Center. The feedback we received from the past two graduating classes has been very positive about using the Comcast Center for graduation. While this does increase cost, historically the cost of travelling to Constitution Hall has been comparable or greater for our families.
I have worked with our PTSA President, Sharon St. Pierre, to build an email account to hear from those families that do not wish for the Comcast Center. I need your response no later than Friday, July 18. If there is an overwhelming number of parents and students not in support of the Comcast Center option, then graduation will be held at Constitution Hall.

Thank you for your attention to our graduation for the Class of 2009.
