Class of 2008 Yearbook Survival Guide

All senior pictures must be taken by October 31, 2007 if you want to be included in the yearbook.

Class of 2008 Important Yearbook Picture Information

You must make an appointment to be photographed by Lifetouch Photographers this summer or fall at Sherwood or at their studios in Baltimore or Burtonsville. For more information visit their website
at http://prestigeportraits.com or call 1-800-445-1189. Males must sit for tuxedo poses and females must sit for drape poses. There is a basic Lifetouch sitting fee charge of $22, bring additional cash for additional poses. Additional information will be sent by Lifetouch
Studios directly to your home.

Photography dates at Sherwood are: June 11, 14 and 15, August 22, 23, 24, October 4 and 5, 2007.

A few weeks after being photographed, you will receive your proofs in the mail. If you want to choose your yearbook pose, you will have to do so by September 30 or it will be chosen for you. If you are photographed after this date, you will not be able to choose the pose.

All other issues dealing with senior photos should be directed to Lifetouch directly.

Senior Memories must be emailed by October 31 to
sherwoodyearbook@yahoo.com with the term “Senior Memories” in the subject title area. Make sure in the body of the email you make it clear what your full name is and which question you are responding to.
Send responses to one or more of the following questions:

1. My proudest accomplishment is….

2. My life has been transformed by…..

3. I will always remember….

4. I want to be remembered by…..

Order your yearbook early to save money! Online sales from the publisher will be available starting in October at www.buyayearbook.com or by phone at 1-888-298-5063. Buy early, the price goes up as the year goes on and we may run out. Only a certain amount are ordered each year based on pre-sales. Before placing your order, find the order number provided to you by Walsworth Publishers in the mailing you will receive in early fall (the envelope is blue and white) to avoid duplicate orders.

The Senior Class Picture will be taken at the Senior Breakfast on October 17. Order forms will be distributed in English classes or homerooms prior to that date. The picture must be paid for and ordered at the time the picture is taken, money will not be collected later.

Friends and Family Salutation Ads** and
Business Ads are currently being taken. We will fill up space on a first paid basis as we have limited space available. All ads are in color and are due back no later than October 31. We may fill pages early so do not wait until the last minute.

Sports teams and other organized groups are encouraged to purchase ad space. If you wish to send in picture(s) of your favorite future graduate(s) and a few words of wisdom, or if you care to advertise your business or just send a congratulations to the graduating class, send your check and advertisement by mail to:

Advertising @ Yearbook
or Sherwood High School
300 Olney-Sandy Spring Road
Sandy Spring, MD 20860

If you want to have your pictures returned to your home, you must provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope for us to mail them back in. Otherwise, they will be delivered back during one of your classes once production of the book is complete. If you want the ad to remain a secret, you must mark so on the form and definitely provide the self-addressed stamped envelope.

** Please make a duplicate of your precious baby photos for our use as we cannot guarantee return of your pictures. We will try our best but sometimes things can get lost in production.
